Wages
Shapiro has used his time as Attorney General to protect workers’ wages, saying that “my office will continue to protect all workers, ensure they are properly classified, and paid a fair wage for a fair day’s work.” | Mastriano voted against a bill that would have raised Pennsylvania’s minimum wage. [2] |
Shapiro has said he supports raising the minimum wage to “at least” $15 per hour. [1] |

Nobody should have to decide between their medication or putting food on the table. We’ve got work to do.” | Mastriano opposed more funding for mental health care and nursing homes. |
Shapiro’s office stopped illegal price gouging by a pharmaceutical company and said, “we won’t tolerate illegal price gouging, especially from suppliers and wholesalers who try to rip off Pennsylvania small businesses and their consumers.” | Mastriano voted against a bipartisan budget which included increased funding for healthcare, COVID recovery efforts and lower prescription drug prices for Pennsylvania residents. |
Shapiro voted to expand health insurance to cover more Pennsylvania residents. [4] |
