Voter ID required? ✓ Yes Ohio voters must present a valid state-issued ID when voting early and on election day. If you are voting by mail/ absentee, you DO NOT need a photo ID to cast your ballot.
Valid Forms of Voting ID in Ohio: Ohio driver's license, State of Ohio ID card, Interim ID form issued by the Ohio BMV, A US passport, A US passport card, US military ID card, Ohio National Guard ID card, or US Department of Veterans Affairs ID card
Valid Photo ID Must also have the following: An expiration date that has not passed, a photograph of the voter, and the voter’s name, which must substantially conform to the voter’s name as it appears in the Poll List or in the Poll Book. If you have an Ohio ID with an old address listed, this form of identification can be accepted when the voter is registered at their most current address.

Ballot Return Deadline: Must be mailed by and postmarked August 7, if you don’t return by mail you must turn in your ballot to your county board of elections by 7:30 PM on August 8 (Election day)
Absentee / Vote by Mail Request Process: Ohio voters now must use the official Ohio Secretary of State 11-A Absentee Ballot Request form to request a vote by mail ballot. You can fill out this form online, print it, and mail it to your County Board of Election office or you can go directly to your County Board of Election office to make the request in person. Absentee / Vote by Mail Return locations: Absentee ballots must be returned to your County Board of Elections office either by mail (postmarked no later than August 7th) or dropped off in person to your County Board of Elections or a designated drop box (no later than 7:30 PM on Election Day)
