Valid Forms of Voting ID in New Jersey: New Jersey voters are only required to show ID if their registration information could not be verified (e.g., if they did not provide a New Jersey driver's license number or the last four digits of their Social Security Number). Voters who must show ID can show any valid and current photo ID or any current document with the voter's name and address, such as a bank statement, vehicle registration, utility bill, pay check or rent receipt.

Ballot Request Deadline: Request for a mail ballot must be received by October 31st, 2023. Requests to receive a ballot in person can be made in the county clerk's office until 3pm on November 6th, 2023.
Ballot Return Deadline: Received in a drop box or by the county BOE by November 7th, 2023 before 8pm or, if returned by mail, postmarked by November 7th, 2023 before 8pm.
Absentee / Vote by Mail Request Process: Submit a paper request to the county clerk. To receive a ballot by mail, the request must be received by October 31st, 2023. Ballot requests can also be made in person at the county clerk's office until 3pm on November 6th, 2023. Absentee / Vote by Mail Return locations: Must be returned to county BOE or to a secure drop-box in the voter's county. If returning by hand, the ballot must be received by 8pm on November 7th, 2023. If returning by mail, the ballot must be postmarked by 8pm on November 7th, 2023.
