Wages

Warnock supports raising the minimum wage and “won’t stop fighting … until we get the job done.” In 2021, he introduced a bill to raise the minimum wage to $15 and supports the Paycheck Fairness Act. [1]	Walker’s poultry company suppliers have been found guilty of wage theft, paying below a living wage and many workers claimed to have experienced a labor or wage violation.[2]

Paid Time Off & Sick Leave

Warnock voted for the American Rescue Plan Act, which provided millions to create an emergency federal employee leave fund for up to 15 weeks of emergency paid leave.	Walker mocked federal bills aimed at helping Americans recover from the pandemic, including funding for paid family leave. [4]
Warnock has advocated for paid sick leave in the budget and has called for paid family leave for all. [3]

Helping Essential Workers

Warnock voted for the American Rescue Plan Act to “help us move beyond this virus and turn our economy around.” The legislation provided Georgia with $8.35 billion, which the state used to increase broadband access and to improve water infrastructure for Georgians.	Walker opposed a bill, which would provide funding for universal pre-K, increase the child tax credit, and incentivize shifts to clean energy. [6]
Warnock co-sponsored a bill to support struggling multiemployer pension plans. [5]

Health Care

Warnock supports expanding the Affordable Care Act to cover more Americans and make health care coverage more affordable. He has introduced a bill to expand Medicaid and to decrease the cost of insulin. [7]	Walker bashed other states’ efforts to expand access to health care services. [8]

Economic Insecurity & Inflation

Warnock knows how much Georgians are struggling with rising inflation. In a letter to President Biden, Warnock wrote that, “… inflation and rising costs for families is a persistent problem about which I hear from Georgians every day, and we must ensure that corporate greed is not unnecessarily contributing to this problem while Georgia families struggle.” [9]	Walker has not offered plans for tackling inflation or rising prices. [11]
Warnock introduced a sales tax holiday for families and called for making the $300 expanded child tax credit permanent.
Warnock introduced a bill to suspend the federal gas tax and require oil companies to pass on the savings consumers.” [10]

Unions & Labor

Warnock is a cosponsor of the PRO Act which will protect worker’s rights to organize unions and collectively bargain, and has said, “Unions make us stronger, safer, and more prosperous”	Walkers’ business partners have been called out for exploitative labor practices.” [13]
Warnock has been endorsed by United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1996, Georgia AFL-CIO Communication Workers of America for his 2022 run. [12]
